• Breastfed infants: mix with a small amount of cooled boiled water or expressed breast milk to form a gel before, during, or after breastfeeding; can also be mixed with expressed breast milk to thicken feeds
• Formula-fed infants: can be used to thicken standard infant formula or specialty formulas; if a thickened feed is required while on a standard formula, Aptamil Gold+ Reflux Infant Formula (which already contains thickener) is recommended
