Elemental 028 Extra is a nutritionally complete powder based on amino acids, designed for individuals with severe impairment of the GI tract. It’s suitable for children from one year of age and adults, and can be used as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement to support dietary management.

Product Features & Benefits

• Unflavoured, amino-acid based formula: a complete elemental nutrition option for challenging GI conditions.
• Who can use it? suitable for children aged 1 year and older and for adults needing a sole source of nutrition or a targeted supplement.
• Packaging and serving: 100 g powder per sachet, with 10 sachets per box.
• Concentration and preparation: recommended feed concentration is 20% w/v (100 g powder made up to 500 ml with water). A lower concentration may be required initially to improve tolerance.
• Flavor and serving tips: best served as a chilled drink and can be flavoured with appropriate flavourings.
• Storage and shelf life: store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, transfer to an airtight container and use within 2–3 days. Unopened sachets have a shelf life of 24 months. After reconstitution, refrigerate and use within 24 hours.
• Indications: suitable for dietary management of conditions with severe GI impairment, including Crohn’s disease, short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, bowel fistulae, and radiation enteritis.
• Important notices: Not suitable for use in infants under one year of age. Use with caution in children under five years of age.
