Melgisorb Ag is an antimicrobial alginate wound dressing from Melgisorb, designed for moderately to heavily exuding wounds while actively reducing bioburden with silver.

Product Features & Benefits

• High absorbency and gel formation: Alginate fibers soak up large volumes of exudate and form a soft gel, creating a moist environment that supports wound healing. The dressing is designed for high wet strength to allow removal in one piece.
• Sustained antimicrobial action: Silver ions are released in the presence of wound fluid to inactivate a broad spectrum of microorganisms, providing rapid and ongoing antimicrobial activity.
• Versatile wound coverage: Suitable for moderate to heavily exuding partial to full-thickness wounds, including post-operative wounds, trauma wounds, leg ulcers, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, graft/donor sites, cavity wounds, and burns.
• Wound protection and healing support: Helps protect the wound and aids autolytic debridement, facilitating healing while maintaining a moist wound environment.
• Usage flexibility: Can remain in place for extended periods (up to 7 days); dressing changes depend on the wound condition and level of exudate. Initial changes may be necessary within 24 hours.
• Sizes to fit different needs: Available in multiple sizes to suit a range of wounds, including 5×5 cm, 10×10 cm, 15×15 cm, 20×30 cm, and 3×44 cm configurations.
