UrgoSorb is a sterile, absorbent wound dressing that combines calcium alginate fibres with hydrocolloid particles. It targets exudate while supporting a moist healing environment and aiding haemostasis.

In contact with wound exudate, sodium-calcium ion exchange occurs between the wound and the dressing. UrgoSorb gels, maintains a moist environment, absorbs exudate, softens and drains necrotic debris, and promotes primary haemostasis for both acute and chronic bleeding wounds.
