Cutimed Sorbact Ribbon Gauze is a sterile, bacteria and fungi-binding wound dressing featuring a green Sorbact wound contact layer that allows wound exudate to pass into a secondary dressing. It is designed as a wound filler and can be placed in cavities, fistulas, and skin folds to address fungal infections (intertrigo).

Product Features & Benefits

• Size and packaging: 10 cm x 200 cm per ribbon, box of 10 (10 pieces per box). Ideal for precise placement in cavities or fistulas and for longer applications.
• Material and technology: DACC-coated Sorbact ribbon that binds bacteria and fungi, helping to control infection while allowing wound exudate to pass to a secondary dressing.
• Indications and use: Suitable for clean, contaminated, colonized or infected exuding wounds, including cavity wounds and fistulas, and it can be used to treat fungal infections in skin folds (intertrigo).
• Compatibility with therapy: Can be used in conjunction with compression therapy when clinically appropriate.
• Application and removal: Easy to cut to size and shape; if placed in a wound cavity, leave an end outside for straightforward removal. For fungal infections, one layer is placed in direct contact with the infected area and secured on healthy skin.
• Wear time and safety: Worn for up to 7 days if the clinical condition allows, with careful removal to protect surrounding tissue.
